I’m Monica — a Brazilian-born, wedding photographer based in New York City

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to photography. As a little girl, I would spend hours flipping through family albums, fascinated by how a single image could hold so much emotion. When I was six I asked my mom for a camera, not knowing that simple wish would lead me exactly where I was meant to be.

I first studied psychotherapy, drawn to understanding people and helping them feel their best. But over time, I realized my heart belonged somewhere else in creativity, emotion, and storytelling. So I followed my heart to London — and that’s where everything changed. London is where I found my purpose — where I studied photography and fell deeply in love with the art of capturing real, meaningful moments.

From my Brazilian roots to my years in London, and now to the heart of New York City, my journey has been one of love, courage, and rediscovery. With over six years of living in America, I now call New York City home, where I live with my partner, our four amazing children, and our two cats. They are my daily reminder to slow down, stay grateful, and be present.

I’m a girls’ girl through and through — inspired by the strong, loving women who’ve shaped me, especially my sister, my best friend and biggest cheerleader from the very beginning. I bring that same positive, calming energy to every wedding day — lifting your confidence, fixing your hair, fluffing your dress, and making sure you look and feel your best in every frame.

Photography isn’t just what I do — it’s how I preserve beauty, emotion, and love. My art is driven by a desire to create timeless, soulful imagery that reflects who you are and the love that surrounds you.
